Kovachevtsi is a small village in the lovely Samokov region of Bulgaria, about a 45-minute drive south of Sofia. Nearby attractions include the beautiful mountain tourist comples called Borovets, the historical and spectacular Rila Monastery, and of course Sofia itself.

  

Kremena has restored her grandfather’s tavern, in the very center of the village, making a welcoming place where people can gather to learn singing.
